We’re so excited to introduce something new we’ve been quietly dreaming up. Waverles Love Stories.
Waverles has always been about the women who make it what it is. What started from something personal has grown into something shaped by every woman who becomes a part of it. This series is a celebration of that. A space to spotlight our community, share their stories, and feel even more connected to what we’re building together. Because everything we create isn’t just meant to be worn, it’s meant to be part of your story.
You may find Waverles during your bridal era. But if you stay a while, you’ll see it’s really made for every chapter that follows (and all the little moments in between).
So it felt only right to kick off Love Stories by celebrating some of our Waverles moms
Our very first spotlight is Ali Carbone, which feels equal parts special and meant to be. A friend of the brand and our founder, Ali has worn Waverles through some of life’s most meaningful moments, from “I do” to becoming a mom.
She’s a wife, a mother, the founder of What Do I Do Brides, and host of Storytellers: Love Stories (truly, could she be a more perfect fit?). But more than anything, she’s the kind of person who shows up for everyone around her, warm, thoughtful, and always championing other women.
Meet Ali

Tell us a little about yourself and your family.
I married my husband, Rich, in Nashville, Tennessee on Sept. 28, 2024, and we welcomed our son, AJ Carbone, on January 25, 2026! We also have a cutie sweet King Charles Cavalier, Jenks. We all live in NYC on the Upper East Side :)

Motherhood is the ultimate job and they say it takes a village, who is in your village?
Oh my goodness, it really does. I feel incredibly lucky to have such a strong village around me. I’m very close with my parents, who snowbird in Florida but came to visit multiple times during AJ’s first month, and even let us stay with them for a few weeks to escape the cold with him. My in-laws also live right up the street from us in NYC, which has been such a gift day-to-day. And then there are my amazing friends, who have shown up in the best ways—popping by to meet AJ, bringing meals, and just being there through these past few months. I truly couldn’t do it without them.
What’s one moment recently that made you pause and think, I’m really a mom?
It was the first day we got back from Florida – AJ is just about 3 months old, my husband went off to work, our baby nurse was gone, my parents weren’t here. I walked into his room in the morning and was like, “Alright, let’s do this!”
What is something about motherhood you wish was discussed more, or that you wish someone had told you?
There are so many things, but I think what I wish was discussed more was that every baby is different, so don’t compare them regarding milestones, hours slept, or size. There is so much information out there and it’s hard not to compare, but it’s most important to follow your baby’s cues and let them be your guide.
What do you love about Waverles and tell us about your favorite styles?
I love the soft, silky bamboo jammies and sets that are truly so comfortable you could wear them all night AND day! Waverles is truly designed with women, specifically mamas, in mind, so the button tops were perfect for me for breast feeds, soft on baby’s skin, and perfectly moisture wicking for those postpartum night sweats!
(Explore our bamboo pajamas designed for comfort through every stage.)

When do you feel most like yourself these days?
I love my morning walks with AJ, going to the store, running errands together. I love and am so appreciative of my new normal. My day to day activities are so much more fun with AJ there, which makes me feel like my best “new” self.

What is one of the most important lessons you learned from your Mom (Grandmother/Female Mentor)?
My mom has been my soundboard and my rock during this entire postpartum experience. The advice she’s given me over the years, especially in the last 3 months, has been so helpful. The most important lesson she’s taught me is the power and importance of being present. She never missed a bedtime story, a school pick up, a game, a moment. There isn’t a time I don’t remember her being right by my side, through the good and bad, and I hope I can be the same for AJ!

As a mom, wife, and entrepreneur, how do you prioritize taking time for yourself and what does that look like?
My mom always said that she was a better mom when she was working – and I really take that to heart. I pride myself on doing things that I know will make my son proud – so if that sometimes takes me away from him, I know I have to be okay with that. It makes my time with him that much more special and sweeter.
