Before Waverles, there was Brianna's Beauty & Beyond, a manicure and pedicure operation run out of a seven-year-old's family home, serving local moms and neighbors. Our founder Bri has been turning corners of her parents' house into workspaces since middle school, one small venture at a time.
The idea for Waverles arrived in 2016, after years spent in fashion sales and long nights in New York's garment district. The premise was simple but stubborn: clothing should work harder for women. It should be comfortable enough to lounge in and chic enough to wear anywhere. It shouldn't ask you to choose between feeling good and looking good, and it definitely shouldn't expire after one season — or one occasion.
In June 2021, Waverles launched with that exact mission: timeless, seasonless, anytime, anywear clothing. The Pleated Set became its purest expression.
What Makes the Pleated Set, the Pleated Set
On paper, it's straightforward: a relaxed, button-down top with mother-of-pearl buttons and an easy matching bottom, cut from soft, recycled pleated fabric with a subtle glossy finish. It drapes beautifully. It weighs almost nothing. It packs without wrinkling — the pleats are the texture, so there's nothing to press.
But the real design achievement is what it does to your morning. As Bri puts it: "Pleats are so lux and also make outfit decision fatigue so easy when I have nine zillion things on my mind."
